What We Do:
Sip N’ Sew Kansas City creates a safe space for Black textile crafters to come together and socialize while practicing the ancient art of sewing, quilting, and clothing creation. These gatherings operate on the communal model of Each One Teach One. Experienced participants work with inexperienced participants to increase the productivity of the whole group. Projects will include quilt
s, bags, clothing and other projects selected by the group. Experienced crafters who would like to lead a project can contact me to schedule the class and work out logistics. By the way, Sip refers to any drink of your choosing. Alcoholic beverages will be available at the Adults only class. Only non-alcoholic beverages will be available at the Mixed Ages classes. Fee and Payment:
Each participant must pay a material fee of $20 per class OR save $10 by paying for 4 classes in the same transaction for $70. The fee should be paid to www.paypal.me/khardeman at least 7 days in advance of the class. Please enter the dates of the classes and your phone number in the notes box. For financial assistance, please contact me. Enrollment is limited to 15 participants per class. If you own a sewing machine please bring it. I have several machines available for beginners that do not own their own. Schedule of 2017 Classes:
