🚨 TRUCKERS, STOP SETTLING FOR BREADCRUMBS. 🚨

The Trucker CEO made a great point from the broker side, and on this issue, I agree with him.

Transparency AFTER the load is already booked does not fix the fundamental problem. By then, you already agreed to the rate.

We’ve spent years talking about “transparency,” and truckers are being told to celebrate another partial solution.

No.

We want 100% PRE-BOOKING TRANSPARENCY.

Before a carrier accepts the load, everybody involved should be able to see exactly where the money is going and negotiate BEFORE making the commitment.

That’s not asking too much. That’s a functioning marketplace.

There comes a point where we have to quit accepting Band-Aids and draw a line in the sand.

FULL TRANSPARENCY. BEFORE BOOKING. NO QUESTIONS ASKED.

That’s what we’re fighting for at AFFTRA.org and McCownUSA.com.

Good morning, everybody! You already know what we’re talking about today… AFFTRA.org, McCownUSA.com, and getting ready for 10-4 D.C. 🇺🇸🚛

First, if you haven’t joined yet, get over to AFFTRA.org or McCownUSA.com and get your membership. Get that membership number while the numbers are still LOW. 😎 A few years from now, you’re going to be able to say you were here at the beginning.

And now we’re getting ready to roll into Washington, D.C. for 10-4 D.C. on September 29th.

I’m putting together a block of hotel rooms right near the National Mall, and SEPTEMBER 7TH is my cutoff. If you want a room with our group or need help figuring out travel, GET WITH ME NOW so I can get everything lined out.

If you’re bringing your truck, 10-4 D.C. is FREE for truckers, but you still need to officially register. I’ll put the registration information in the first comment.

We’re not just talking about fixing trucking anymore. We’re organizing, funding it, showing up in Washington, and putting AFFTRA in front of the people who can actually make these standards law.

He knew the power of truck drivers. It’s time we remembered.

The man on the right is Jimmy Hoffa.

The man on the left is me, Patrick Nicholson, founder of Big Rig Nation.

The resemblance in these two photographs is pretty damn striking. But that's not why I'm posting this.

I'm posting it because Jimmy Hoffa understood something decades ago that I believe too many truck drivers have forgotten:

The real power isn't in one person. The power is in ALL OF YOU.

One driver can be ignored.

Ten drivers can be dismissed.

But when tens of thousands of drivers start speaking together, people have to start paying attention.

In a little over a year, Big Rig Nation has grown to nearly 100,000 followers across our social media platforms.

And we've done more than make videos.

We've stood up to trucking companies. We've fought at the federal level. We've put our own money on the line. We've listened to drivers when they felt nobody else would. And we've been willing to ask questions that sometimes make powerful people uncomfortable.

But understand something:

We're not against trucking companies.

We take tremendous pride in the good companies we work with. There are carriers out here doing things the right way, and those companies deserve good drivers.

What we're against are the bad actors who believe drivers don't have a voice.

Some media platforms will embrace what we're doing. Some won't.

That's fine.

Because Big Rig Nation isn't being built by the media.

It's being built by truck drivers.

Every follow. Every share. Every driver who tells their story. Every driver who sends us evidence. Every person who refuses to accept that “that's just trucking” is a good enough answer anymore.

That's how this grows.

And if anyone thinks Big Rig Nation won't stand up and fight for drivers when it matters, they don't know me very well.

Jimmy Hoffa understood the enormous power truck drivers had when they stood together.

Maybe it's time this generation remembered it.

Nearly 100,000 strong — and we're just getting started.

All right, guys, it’s September 1st, and we are officially getting everything lined up for 10-4 DC on September 29th.

Here’s what I need from you.

September 7th is my cutoff date. If you want to come to D.C. with us and you need a hotel room, help coordinating travel, or anything else, I need to hear from you before September 7th so I can get everybody organized and get these rooms lined out.

If we come together as a group, we should be able to save some money on the hotel rooms, so don’t wait until the last minute. Call me. Message me. Don’t be shy. We’re going to get everybody together and have a damn good time while we’re there fighting for this industry.

Now, if you’re a trucker and you’re bringing your truck to 10-4 DC, it is free to attend, but you MUST register your truck ahead of time. Registration is free, and I’ll put the official registration link in the first comment of this video.
