Hi, everyone! 👋🏻 Remember this time capsule home I was lucky enough to help set up for creative use rental? Well, after doing that and helping manage the rentals for a year and a half, the owner has sadly decided to put his childhood home on the market. The first people who saw it, made an offer that was accepted, so I have been tasked with selling the contents in a nerve wrackingly short amount of time 😬 If any of you are interested in seeing the items, watch for more detailed photos in my stories soon. Please DM me for prices if you have a serious interest and can pick up in Kendall, near Baptist Hospital within the next week or 2.

P.S. The buyers are (not surprisingly) going to completely remodel the house, so it is a sad time for sure 😔 and I am trying to soak it all up while I still can…

Some incredible generosity to share! in Sunny Isles is providing free lodging for 15 families for a month! If you know any of the residents who could use a place to stay, please share this info with them.⁠⁠
is also collecting donations for each of those families. The goal is $1000 per family. Please give if you can.⁠⁠
Nothing will ever be the same for these families, but feeling an outpouring of kindness from the community is a great first step towards healing.⁠

For eclectica’s birthday month & to celebrate its Quinceañera (15th birthday 🎂) here’s something I haven’t done before...An introduction post!⁠

15 FUN FACTS:⁠
1️⃣ My name is Katrina, some friends call me Kat. ⁠
2️⃣ I’m 43 yrs old. Born & raised in Miami to Cuban parents.⁠
3️⃣ I’m an only child, but gained 3 step-siblings when I was 15 years old. ⁠
4️⃣ My family knew I was an artist before I did. I received a BFA in Mixed Media/Installation from FIU in 2001. ⁠
5️⃣ I’ve been shopping for vintage since the early 90s when a friend turned me on to thrift shops where I could find vintage Levis jeans & corduroys.⁠
6️⃣ I bite my nails & cuticles 🥴⁠
7️⃣ In college, I studied abroad in London.⁠
8️⃣ I love old cars, but swore off them after the 2 I have owned (‘65 International Harvester Scout, ‘69 Dodge Coronet Stationwagon) got damaged due to no fault of my own ☹️⁠
9️⃣ My college graduation present was a 19-day Contiki tour (for ages 18-35) across the U.S. from Orlando to Los Angeles!⁠
🔟 That tour solidified my love for road trips and roadside attractions. ⁠
1️⃣1️⃣ I have a collection of souvenirs from South of the Border (in South Carolina) though I’ve never actually been there.⁠
1️⃣2️⃣ My art school thesis was about Elvis Sightings. While researching, I met my favorite Elvis impersonator (Spirit of the King - Steve Connolly) in Las Vegas & we’re still in touch. ⁠
1️⃣3️⃣ My dedication to documenting mid century modern architecture & fleeting landmarks likely stems from Sunday drives with my parents when I was a kid. We would look at houses or cruise around Miami Beach since my mom loves the style of the Art Deco hotels. ⁠
1️⃣4️⃣ When I was a little girl, I asked to be a belly dancer/genie for Halloween every year because I didn’t know I could have a different one. My grandmother just kept adding fabric until they realized what was going on. ⁠
1️⃣5️⃣ Not a big fan of change. I still live in the same house I’ve lived in since I was 5! ⁠
