A busy week for my studio! My October and November brides are coming in daily for first fittings. Very exciting to be apart of each of these women’s lives as they prepare for their wedding.

I spend more time with needle and thread than at a sewing machine sometimes. Beautiful lace requires an eye for detail and an un-rushed, relaxed respect. Are your alterations quick and hurried? You can usually tell.

The story of the bum.
This dress was many sizes too large. Downsizing was achieved by removing the zipper and all the buttons and loops to take in 2 inches. The results gave her a perfect fit showing her delicate curves.

Now that the month isalmost over, this is what my May calendar view has been. Wow, it has been busy around my studio! I'm sliding into June with a mucj needed quick break with friends in Florida and then back to the pins and needles!
If you are a fall bride DO NOT DELAY in making your first fitting appointment. I will soon be completely committed for that season. Unfortunately I will turn away alteration requests because I can not squeeze any more in.
