My love, . I wanted to share with you all a little about why I started LuLaRoe. Though I absolutely adore me little ones, this guy right here is my focus for why I started this business. He is the love of my life and my very best friend. We met in high school and he was my very first boyfriend (yes, that's right!). We instantly had a connection that has only grown since day one. We married at barely the age of 21, and have had 2 amazing boys that has made us a family of 4 👨👩👦👦
Just about 4 years ago, my husband suffered a Grand Mal seizure while we were vacationing at the coast. Five days spent at Harbor View Medical Hospital, countless MRI's and CT Scans, and weeks of waiting, we found out that he had a malignant brain tumor the size of a tennis ball in his right frontal lobe. He underwent surgery in September of 2013 and had a successful resection of all visible tumor. We found out it was a oligodendroglioma grade 2 tumor. No treatment required, just watch and wait with MRI's every 3 months.
Three month MRI's turned into every 4 months, then every 6 months, and the anxiety of each MRI diminished with every "well, all looks good and no changes." But, that all changed this past December. Anticipating yet another good MRI, we were shocked to hear that the tumor had grown back and not only that, at a 40% increase from the MRI only months before. The best option and yet, the most terrifying, was to have another surgery and follow up with treatment. So, on March 7th, 2017, Aaron had his 2nd brain surgery. It was another successful resection, but we did find out the it had upgraded to a more aggressive state of a Grade 3 tumor. He then began Proton Radiation Treatment and Chemo on April 13th. We are now in the 5th week of RT and he will be finishing up around the first of June and taking a break before he starts more rounds of Chemo.
With all this being said, I wanted to have a way to support our family through this trying time and relieve some of the financial burden we will be under. LuLaRoe, along with my Home Staging business, has allowed me to be home with my Kiddos and Husband while we adjust to this new way of life. It has allowed me to take my Husband to treatment, and be there to meet with the doctors on week day appointments. Drive my Husband to work meetings since he is unable to drive due to having a couple of seizures after surgery. It has given me the flexibility to be available if plans change last minute. To be there for my kids. To be there for my Husband.
I can't wait to see what LuLaRoe has in store for my family and I, since this is only the beginning of my journey. I am blessed to have the opportunity to begin this venture and am beyond thrilled to help others find confidence and beauty in themselves through this exceptional company. I am excited to gain relationships and make clothing shopping a unique and fun experience for you all. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I truly appreciate your love and support everyone! ❤️
