I wanted to share this picture with all of my amazing customers, who have become so much more than customers over the years. Many of you truly feel like family.
A couple of years ago, I felt God place it on my heart to offer free Bibles in our store. I ordered a case of Bibles, made a simple sign, and placed them on a shelf for anyone who wanted one. Every time I walked by and noticed there were fewer on the shelf, my heart would smile knowing another Bible had found its way into someone's hands.
Then came the flood.
The destruction was unlike anything I could have imagined. Shelves were overturned, fixtures were destroyed, and merchandise was swept across the building by the force of the water. So much that we had worked so hard for was gone in a matter of moments.
As we were sorting through everything, we came across this sign with the very last Bible that had been sitting on that shelf. Out of all the chaos and destruction surrounding it, the Bible was untouched.
In that moment, I stood there with tears in my eyes. To some, it may seem like a coincidence. To me, it was a gentle reminder that even when everything around us feels broken, God's Word stands firm. It reminded me that while a building can be destroyed, faith, hope, and His promises cannot.
That single Bible gave me something I desperately needed that day
“ HOPE “.
It reminded me that this isn't the end of our story. We may have lost everything in our store, but we haven't lost our faith, our purpose, or this amazing, incredible community that has surrounded us with so much love and support.
Thank you to every single person who has prayed for us, reached out, checked on us, and supported us during this heartbreaking time. We are beyond grateful.
We'll rebuild. We'll keep moving forward. And we'll continue trusting God every step of the way.
