There's nothing like a simple and neutral set up. Less is more always with my style of baby photography.
A neutral background fabric, I'm using 2 neutral throws in off white.
Some helium balloons. (On Maui, they are $4 each, so I just bought a helium tank instead).
Natural light or flash (off camera flash bounced from the corner wall)
A small noisemaker (I forgot mine at home so mama brought out baby's rattle ball)
A baby that had just worn up from nap and was fed
And I forgot to add, a camera, obviously!

This season is going to be a little different for me. I know and truly believe that I can share my photography and will attract the clients that are best for me. There is plenty of business in photography to go around, so I'm not chasing after sessions that I am not passionate about. I'm going to focus on creating art and doing photos from the heart and not following trends. That includes editing trends, pose trends and even creative trends.
I'll also bring along and use my tripod more often. It just gives me freedom to capture images, especially of babies, while staying hands free.
My approach to photograph your sessions will also be minimal and timeless. I'll focus on using whites and neutrals as I am slowly adding inventory to my client closet and switching over to a more timeless feel.
I'm also going to stay with doing children's photography, and want to focus on portraits for kids. No fancy iPhone or cell phone is able to capture your child's essence with you. Let me freeze those moments for your lifetime.
