My Recovery Seen shoes finally arrived today.
Truth moment.

These took 28 days to get here.

And I’m not going to pretend that part didn’t frustrate me a little.

But when I opened the box… I’ll be honest — I actually love them.

The color came out great, the design looks exactly like what we created, and seeing the Recovery Seen message on something people can literally walk in feels pretty powerful.

That said, I also want to be real with y’all because this brand is built on honesty.

28 days is a long time to wait for shoes.

So now I’m debating whether shoes should stay in the store or not.

I don’t ever want people ordering something and feeling like they’re waiting forever.

So I want your thoughts:
👟 Are these something you’d wait for?
👟 Or should I stick with apparel and items that ship faster?

Drop your thoughts below — seriously.
You’re helping shape what Recovery Seen becomes.
Because this brand isn’t just about products.

LET’S HIT 500 FOLLOWERS! 💜

Recovery Seen started with a simple mission:
make recovery visible and break the stigma.

In just a short time, this community has grown to 308 people who believe recovery stories matter.

Now let’s see if we can push this message even further.

When we hit 500 followers, I’ll be giving away a Recovery Seen shirt to one supporter from this page. (Of their choice!)

Here’s how to enter:

1️⃣ Follow the Recovery Seen page
2️⃣ Invite 5 friends to follow the page
3️⃣ Comment “INVITED” below when you’re done

That’s it.

Recovery isn’t something to hide.
It’s a story worth sharing.

Let’s see how far we can take this message together.

You can invite friends by clicking the three dots on the page and selecting Invite Friends.

I applied to compete in the Entrepreneur of Impact competition, and I am honored to be accepted as a contestant and make the first round.

For me, this isn’t about recognition, it’s about the work.

I remember the funerals.

The funerals of people the world told me weren’t worth helping… long before I was even old enough to understand the word addiction.

Those moments stay with you.

They are part of the reason I built The Recovery Table, Recovery Seen and why I’m working toward creating The Recovery Table Café — a 24-hour recovery community space here in East Texas where people can find connection, support, and hope when they need it most.

Too many people fight their hardest battles alone.

Public voting begins March 23rd, and if I’m fortunate enough to continue advancing, it could help bring awareness to this vision and the work being done for recovery in our community.

More to come soon.

Because everyone deserves a seat at the table.

Thought for the Day | The Recovery Table

Healing rarely happens in loud moments.
It happens in quiet ones.

In the moment someone finally tells the truth they’ve been carrying.
In the pause before reacting the way they used to.
In the decision to try again after yesterday didn’t go well.

Recovery isn’t always dramatic.
Most of the time it’s small, steady choices made in ordinary moments.

A conversation.
A boundary.
A prayer.

A deep breath instead of an old habit.
Those moments may not look big from the outside…
but they’re where real change begins.

Today, don’t underestimate the power of one small step.

Sometimes healing starts with simply pulling up a chair and deciding to stay.
Everyone deserves a seat.

This week a mom closed the office door and shared the story of her son.

The conversation was quiet.

Not because confidentiality was required
but because for her, quiet was a necessity.

The weight she carries is already heavy enough.
The shame and stigma that come from others can break a person who is already holding more than they know how to carry.

So we sat in that quiet.
We talked about her son.
We talked about fear.
We talked about hope.
And we talked about the reality that loving someone through addiction can feel incredibly lonely.

Moments like that are why this page has been quiet this week.

Not because this message isn’t important.
But because this work isn’t just apparel.
It’s people.
It’s families.
It’s closed doors and honest conversations.
It’s the kind of moments that don’t belong on social media they belong in spaces where people can finally breathe.

Every day through The Recovery Table, I sit with people in those moments.
Parents.
Spouses.
Families who are trying to figure out how to love someone through addiction without losing themselves in the process.

Recovery Seen will always be here.
Because the message matters.

But sometimes the most important work happens behind closed doors in quiet conversations where someone finally feels safe enough to tell the truth.

And I will always choose those moments first.

Because recovery deserves to be seen…
…but healing often begins in the quiet. 💜

MONDAY TRUTH.
Someone told me this week they don’t reach out for help because they’re afraid they’ll make someone else relapse.

Let’s clear something up.

You are not that powerful.

You can’t make someone relapse.
And you can’t make someone get sober.

Recovery isn’t that fragile.
And addiction isn’t that contagious.

If someone chooses to use, that’s their responsibility.

If someone chooses to stay sober, that’s their responsibility.

Life isn’t all about you and that’s actually freeing.

You are allowed to:
• ask for support
• vent
• struggle
• need people
• exist in hard seasons

Without carrying someone else’s sobriety on your back.

Healthy recovery includes boundaries.

If someone can’t handle a conversation, it’s their job to say so.

But shrinking yourself to protect someone else’s recovery?

That’s not recovery.

That’s fear.
You don’t make people relapse.
They make choices.
You don’t make people sober.
They make choices.

Stop isolating to protect grown adults from their own accountability.

You deserve connection too.
👇
Have you ever stayed silent because you were afraid of “triggering” someone?

Or has someone ever blamed you for their relapse?

Let’s talk about it.
Recovery Seen 💜
No shame. Just seen.

She doesn’t romanticize her past.
She survived on what she knew.
And what she knew wasn’t always healthy.
It wasn’t always safe.
It wasn’t always sober.
But survival kept her here.

Then she learned.
She learned boundaries.
She learned accountability.
She learned how to sit in hard feelings without escaping them.
She learned that recovery isn’t about pretending the past didn’t happen it’s about building differently because it did.

We survived on what we knew.
We heal by what we learn.

That’s the heart of the Stephanie Edition.

Coming soon.

Not everyone can speak out loud about recovery.
And over time, I’ve come to understand why.
Many of you message me privately.

You share your story. Your struggle. Your healing.
You tell me you believe in Recovery Seen… but you’re not ready to like, comment, or share publicly because doing so feels like exposing a part of your life the world doesn’t yet understand.
And that’s real.

Recovery still carries stigma.
Some are protecting jobs, families, privacy, or simply their peace.

Some are still finding their voice.
Some are healing quietly.
This space was never created to force anyone into the light.

It was created to remind you that your story still matters, whether whispered or shouted.
But here’s the truth…

Every time someone does speak,
Every time someone does show support,
Every time someone does say “me too”
it makes it safer for the next person to step forward.

So today, this post is for two groups:

To the ones supporting silently. I see you. Your healing counts. Your story matters, even in quiet.

And to the ones who are able to speak help make the space safer.

Say something.

Show up.

Let people know they are not alone.

Because recovery was never meant to be a secret! It's your story. YOUR STORY MATTERS!
