Dear Friends, Family, Customers & New Clients ...
Since ending my 1 year PopUp in Aurora a little over a year ago I have been rather quiet on the socials & life in general. I was having vision issues & awaiting Cataract Surgeries, and those were successfully completed back in the fall. I took on a few private clients over the months, helping with organizing & events, a couple of Estate Sales, packing & moving services and a couple of Flea Events. I took on a small very part time job that gave me just enough work to mix in with everything else, and have been getting by ok. In one of my daily travels working in a store, I had a short conversation with a lady who was there shopping as a DoorDasher and decided to give that a try for awhile, too. There is alot I like about it (24/7 Freedom to work other things around it) and things I don't... (carrying cases of water & soda & grocery bags up three flights of stairs sometimes like somebodys errand girl - lol) But again, its working for now, though my very unexpected van repair bills & the climbing fuel prices have taken a toll on it being sustainable for much longer.
In reviewing options for my future, I have come back to the idea of opening my own storefront once again, not only to sell MY inventory, but also to create & be part of a "creative cooperative" community where I feel I'll not only survive, but really THRIVE. I do not want to start a full on Vintage Mall with tons of vendors, that is too overwhelming. Instead I plan to have maybe 4-10 Vintage ReSellers, but also some smaller "Artists/Maker Vendors, Small Batch Prepared Foods, Farm Fresh Produce & Goods, a BottleShop (olcc pending) and more. I will also be taking in merch from Consignment Clients and offering some Estate Services as these opportunities naturally seem to come my way. All of the parts of life that I love, celebrating together under one roof! I guess that means I'll hope to bring in occasional live music as well.
I have a pretty sweet space in NW Portland I'm currently awaiting more news on - large, open, flexible & creative! - enough that will allow room to spread out in, but also not TOO big to be overwhelmed by.
There are so many beautiful and highly successful Vintage Malls in Portland, Salem, Albany, Aurora, Oregon City, Hillsboro - everywhere, everywhere! Many have asked why I don't just go get a booth or two in some of those. After a lot of thought, I believe its because I can't provide the same level of estate & consignment services without my own space to set up in and offer the variety of merchandise that comes my way, which means leasing my own Flex Space to work from.

I am offering Wood & Rose Gift Certificates for sale in any $$ increment, good for any merchandise in the store once its open, at any Flea I participate in, or even organizing & estate services. All proceeds will go towards initial rent and startup costs. I already have many fixtures & my own inventory as well as consignment merch & clients merch just waiting to be moved in & processed to the sales floor.

The stairs shown in the photo are from a DoorDash delivery I did in the hills of Lake O, on the back of a beautiful single-family home. Taken from the street, I was just impressed with the structure and wonder what the view must be like from up there.
