Mercantile will remain closed today.

I am going to wait till tomorrow to decide whether I will be open Saturday evening. New meds are tearing my stomach up and making extremely tired and weak. Muscle spasms are gone, but I feel horrible. This has to be the absolute worst osteoarthritis flare up I have ever had. Even eating takes to much energy.
If I don’t see improvement by tomorrow I may have to just stay closed for awhile till this subsides.

The mercantile is closed today folks. I had a horrible osteoarthritis flare up yesterday and ended up at emergency room last night at Pratt, until 2:30 this morning. I am at home, but still don’t feel very well. I will try to be open Saturday late afternoon, but no promises. I have been trying to push through pain lately and only working a little each day, but my body has fought back hard this time and has shut me down.

RIP Dolly. You and Kenny can sing together again in heaven.

My very first cassette tape I bought when I was little was a Dolly Parton greatest hits tape. Always loved her songs and good deeds she did for others .

Since the concert tonight has been canceled, I am going to remain closed until next week. ECK got power restored to our home, so I need to spend time cleaning up the house so we can move back into it sometime next week. We have some k terror damage that will need to be done along with a lot of exterior work done, but hopefully things will start getting done next week by crews.

I would love to have the mercantile open tomorrow(Friday), but I don’t see it happening. I will have the mercantile open on Saturday afternoon around 5 pm or a little before, since there is a concert that night. Things at home are hectic to say the least still. The ins adjuster can out today to our place to survey damage and he confirmed it would have been what they call a tree top tornado. A tornado that comes down to the tops of tall trees and then goes back to the clouds. It never officially touches down, but it does a lot of damage to trees and roofs. The house is going to be classified as unliveable until ECK comes out and does a lot of work. Living in our almost new camper inside a Morton building is challenging. Filling water tanks daily and dumping sewer daily gets old. Turning the AC off to use things like the microwave gets old. Now our hot water tank is not working quit right in the camper,so it means 4 min showers. I am hoping ECk can fix my camper issues first, because the house may take several days to fix.
With having to do laundry at a laundry mat 30 min away, picking up limbs still in the yard, and now going back to physical therapy for my hand because I have edema in the bones in my hand. I have only been able to spend 3 hours a day in the store and I just am not getting much done. Plus with the pressure outside being at 30 nearly everyday it has caused an osteoarthritis flare up from hell on my body. I don’t sleep well and my pain is through the roof even on my prescription meds. Plus I keep having damage inside the store caused from the construction company outside and I have to keep cleaning up messes. It’s discouraging finding big items and some of my nice glassware items broken, when I walk in the door, everyday.
Sorry folks, but my life is hectic at the moment, but I will be open Saturday afternoon at 5pm that is a promise! With everything that is going on at home, I am not sure what days I will be open for quit awhile. Just watch fb is all I can say.

I want to thank Alicia Hill and her wonderful Boys, from the bottom of my heart, for driving all the way from Kingman to my place today to help pick up limbs. We still have a lot to pick up, but you guys put a huge dent in it.

I also want to thank The wonderful gentleman from Eck, I believe his name was Devin, for coming out and getting our water back running and he put in two outlets outside so I can run drop cords from them to all my freezers and fridge. Our home is currently not liveable so we will be living in our camper for awhile and that’s ok.

I also want to thank the gentleman from our township for clearing our road and then he came into our driveway with a skid loader and picked up tons of big limbs.
We still have a couple days of work picking up limbs and parts have to be ordered to fix power lines going into the house. So we may be a week plus on fixing house issues. We still have 1 huge tree and tons of big limbs to pick up still but we got a good start done to it.

Angelina Copeland, thank you for coming out to help!

I am dreading going outside to see the devastation in the light. So I am just chilling watching a little tv with Diesel in the camper. He loves watching Jack Hanna every Saturday morning.
