This 1976 Sony Trinitron KP-4000 is an early piece of home theater history and one of the rare examples of a Trinitron projection TV.

Drove up to Virginia to pick up this 1983 Sony CVM-1900 and had to get a photo of it in front of the dilapidated UFO Video, because that old sign is just too cool!

I made a quick trip down to Huntsville, Alabama for this original Sony Trinitron dealer display. It’s from the early days of the Trinitron and would have graced the showroom floor while man still walked on the moon. Of course, while I was in the Rocket City, I had to swing by the U.S. Space and Rocket Center for a photo shoot.

Finally added an Advent VideoBeam 1000A to the collection! The VideoBeam was one of the first color CRT projectors released to the general public. With an original price of $2500 in the early ‘70s, Advent lost hundreds of dollars on each unit sold due to the immense cost of designing and producing the projector. It projected onto a 7-foot (measured diagonally) curved screen, which was enormous compared to direct-view tube TVs of the day. I do have the screen as well. I still need to assess this unit before I attempt to power it on.
