Home in History

Home in History Home in History makes handmade clothing accessories inspired by history for the modern home and homestead. Thank you for your support

I created Home in History in 2013 to preserve and continue the arts that have disappeared and survived through time. From the textile arts, crafts, to food and gardening I wish to keep the arts not only alive but to share them with others to help us understand our past and our future better.

Back in May I went to the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival with my Mom and Aunt. Particularly I was on the lookout out for tools and roving, I stuck pretty close to that but I did break that rule for a few things, one was plants, I purchased 3 plants, one is this one, I wanted to try cotton. Now I live a little further north then where cotton generally grows so I knew this was a risk but it is growing... look at that bloom and there is a big ball in the former petal underneath it.
