The last two weeks have been nothing short of amazing. ❤️

The town of Kingston continues to wrap its arms around us, and I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to fully explain how much that means.

We’ve been invited into people’s homes for dinner, included in the town fish fry, and made to feel like we truly belong here. Some locals have even invited me out to fish in their ponds—which, if you know me, you KNOW that’s one way to win me over! 🎣😂

Then, after the recent storms, we had several trees come down around our cabin. Within HOURS, people from the community showed up with chainsaws ready to help us clean up the damage. We didn’t have to beg. We didn’t have to ask twice. People just showed up.

And it doesn’t stop there.

People bring us flowers, baked goods, spices, fresh eggs and all kinds of homemade goodies. Someone is always stopping by the store with something they made, grew, baked or just thought we might enjoy.

And then there are the cats. 😂🐈

I asked if anyone wanted to donate a little cat food for our furry friends hanging around Buffalo Base Camp, and you all SHOWED UP for them too! People dropped off bags of food, others sent money, and those little freeloaders are probably eating better than we are at this point. 😂

How could you NOT love Kingston, Arkansas?

The amount of love, kindness and support we have received feels like something out of a movie. This is what small-town life is supposed to feel like. People looking out for one another. People showing up when someone needs help. People sharing what they have.

We came to Kingston to open a little outdoor store.

What we didn’t expect was to find a community that would welcome us like family.

Kingston, you’re pretty dang special. ❤️
