It's a pen turning weekend. I'm hoping these turn out good enough to list in the shop. I am my own worst critic.

Wool is not cruel. Cruel is not shearing the sheep and/or leaving them to fend for themselves. Wool is better for the human body than synthetic fibers. It's also biodegradable and renewable.

Yesterday, I made five pens (my mom claimed one before I could take a picture of it). These are slimline pens made with Sandalwood, Brazilian Rosewood, Maplewood, and Becote (from left to right). I'm still practicing on the lathe but I think these turned out pretty well. It is so satisfying shaping wood on a lathe.

2026 Project Goals. I've had many of these in my queue for a while now. I finally feel confident enough in my knitting skills to take them on this year. This includes Brooke Nico's Wanderlust, a Stitch Sampler shawl, the amazing Wingspan shawl, Isabell Kraemer's Cowboys and Angels shawl, a thrummed hat, two Stephen West shawls, the Lotus Flower beanie, and the Vortex shawl.
