Well…this wasn’t part of the plan! 😅

Our car decided to break down while we were pulling the trailer to our Portland plant haul. 🚗💨

Thankfully, Honey and Faith are making the 4-hour drive in the morning to rescue us (they’re the real MVPs ❤️).

If all goes as planned, we’re still determined to make it to the plant warehouse! 🌿💪

We’d appreciate a few prayers for safe travels and a quick fix. One thing we’ve learned running Honey & Ivy is that sometimes the best stories start with a little adventure. Stay tuned…we’re not giving up on this plant haul! 🌱💛

🌿 Your potting soil is talking… are you listening? 🪴

Believe it or not, your plant’s soil can tell you a lot about what’s happening beneath the surface! Here’s what to watch for:

🤍 White Crust = Mineral salt buildup (often from hard water or fertilizer)
💚 Green Algae = Soil is staying too wet
🍄 Mushrooms = Healthy, active soil (usually harmless!)
🌵 Cracked Soil = Time for a deep watering
🪰 Fungus Gnats = The top of the soil is staying too damp
🤍 White Mold = Needs better airflow and a chance to dry between waterings

🌿✨ Honey & Ivy Plant Spa is officially open! ✨🌿

A beautiful friend brought us this incredible 70-year-old Jade Plant for a little TLC! Can you believe it? Seventy years of growth, memories, and love all wrapped up in one amazing plant. 💚

She doesn’t need to be replaced… she just deserves a little spa day. 🪴✂️

So, Handsome Hubby and I are rolling up our sleeves and giving this grand old lady the royal treatment! We’ll be inspecting the roots, giving her a careful prune, freshening up her soil if needed, and helping bring out her natural beauty.

🎥 We’re filming the whole process, so stay tuned!

🌿 Meet Lady Seraphina. 🤍

She isn’t for sale… she’s my personal houseplant, and I have a feeling she’ll be with me for a very long time. She loves to show off her beauty as she stands on the most beautiful china drip tray!

Lady Seraphina is a Variegated Syngonium Albo, a collector’s plant prized for its incredible white-and-green leaves. The white areas are called variegation, which means parts of the leaf lack chlorophyll—the pigment that makes leaves green and allows them to photosynthesize. Because those white sections can’t produce energy, they’re much rarer and require the green portions of the leaf to support the plant.

No two leaves are ever the same, making every Variegated Syngonium beautifully one of a kind.

Now I need your opinion… does Lady Seraphina need a tiny pearl necklace, or is she perfect just as she is? 🤍✨
