So today's first dye was trying wool versus a silk blend. The left skein is Swish DK superwash merino wool, and the right skein is Gloss DK which is 70% superwash merino and 30% mulberry silk. I wish the sheen of the silk blend and the difference in tonality showed better in the photographs. There is definitely more color intensity on the wool, but I love the more muted color of the silk. I can definitely see applications for both.

Variation on a theme. This time I did yellow and green stripes on half, then red on the other half. The red is ~50/50 Poinsettia and Deep Magenta, the yellow is some mix of Honey Mustard and Brilliant Yellow, and the green is Sour Apple. I really like the red mix.
