This summer, I’ve been spending a lot of time with my daughters and husband, slowing down wee bit, and working on the small things.
But behind the scenes, I've also been thinking deeply about the future and the things I want to create next.
And there is one idea that has stayed with me since I first dreamed up Crown Your Story in 2023.
What if Crown Your Story became a book?🌹
I'm imagining a beautiful, heirloom style hardcover book filled with women's stories, golden hour photography, and portraits of each woman wearing a flower crown created for her story.
Something beautiful enough to leave on your coffee table and meaningful enough to keep.
Each woman would have several pages dedicated to her story. If this becomes what I think it could become, I don't see it as just ONE book.
I see different volumes of Crown Your Story, each exploring a different part of the human experience.
BUT I need your insight before I decide where we begin.
The three themes I'm considering for the first book are:
🕊GRIEF
Stories of love, loss and what we continue carrying with us. Not only death, but the many ways grief enters our lives.
🌸 GRANDMA'S GIRLS
Stories about grandmothers and the women whose love, lessons, traditions, gardens, recipes, objects and memories continue living through us.
✨ RESILIENCE
Stories about the moments that could have broken us, the lives we rebuilt, the unexpected roads we've walked and the women we've become along the way.
So please tell me!
Which book would you want to pick up? Which one would you want to give someone you love?
And maybe most importantly…
Which one makes you immediately think, “I have a story for that”?
Comment GRIEF, GRANDMA'S GIRLS or RESILIENCE below and I'd genuinely love to know *why*. This is a work in progress.
And if reading this makes you think you might someday want to share your own story as part of Crown Your Story, leave me a 🌹 or send me a message. I'm not collecting stories quite yet, but when that chapter begins, I'd love to know who wants to hear about it.
