Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla) isn’t just for tea! It’s a versatile herb that helps calm itchy, irritated skin and can be used to create a variety of soothing skin-care products.
To make this chamomile bath salt, blend ½ cup of Epsom salt and ¼ cup of chamomile flowers in a small food processor until the color is evenly distributed. Spread the mixture on wax paper to air dry for one to two days. Once completely dry, crumble the mixture and store it in an airtight container. To use, place the chamomile-infused salts into a cotton muslin bag or clean sock, and add to your bath as warm water fills the tub. — Jan Berry
