We are excited to have these great Mepp’s lure kits at Jack’s! Mepp’s lures are a French invention with an American fishing story that took place right here in the Midwest.

Mepps lures were invented in France in 1938 by engineer André Meulnart, who combined industrial precision with his passion for fishing to create an in-line spinner designed to flash and vibrate.

During WWII, American GIs discovered the lures in Europe and brought them home. In 1951, one returning GI gave a few to Wisconsin sporting goods store owner Todd Sheldon. He tried them on a local river, was amazed by the results, and began selling them.

And the rest is fishing history. Be a part of the legend, and pick up a kit for yourself or for the angler in your life!
