Returning for the 5th year now is the Working-class Barbell Meet
Open invite to all to come and see what the WCB is all about. Guaranteed to be another fun event for the books. We run a legit full power meet, judges, lights, cameras and all the action. A perfect event for a new powerlifter looking to get their feet wet or even a veteran of the platform just looking for a good time. If you want to participate in a single lift or push pull sign up.
Pre registration is open, and just a DM away. Sign up before the week of the meet for $10 lifter entry. Week of $20 lifter entry. Food and beer (or water) included in lifter registration. Spectators are a $5 entry for water drinkers and $10 entry for beer drinkers event starts at 10am lifters must attend the 9am rules meeting before we begin warm ups.
This year we will be using a brand new combo rack built specifically for this meet.
We are planning for 2 food vendor options. If you would like to bring a side dish by all means please do.
Competing in this meet gives you the option to register for the thanks to the great people running an open raffle style awarding comp. That makes anyone a possible winner!

This virus has caused many gyms to close temporarily. WCB is following suit.
Although WCB is not a gym with open membership, normally I allow for drop in visits.
Because of the virus, I am not allowing anyone in here that has never shown interest in training here prior to this pandemic.
I have the most respect for all local gym owners and want to create no animosity between us.
The way I look at is, noone gave a s**t who I was 3 weeks ago, now suddenly everyone "has been meaning to drop in" or "I'll trade you toilet paper for gym use" or....well the list goes on.
For anyone that doesn't know I created the Working-class Barbell name not as a gym but as a lifestyle brand for the blue collar lifter and anyone willing to support that mentality. The apparel then supplements more equipment and supplies for the garage gym.
Doing this I've built the ideal training facility for myself and family. Along the way I have developed a team/crew of like minded people. They too however are suffering from the results of this virus. This is powerlifting, we dont do this alone. I would hope when this all blows over, some of you would still be interested in dropping in and experiencing WCB training for themselves.

I just want to thank everyone for making the 2nd annual WCB a great success for the second year in a row. Another great turn out for lifters against the odds of last min drop outs. Beautiful day until the rain came but everyone finished what they came do do. I didnt see as many familiar faces as I anticipated but hopefully they'll all come around for next year. Congratulations to all the lifters and again thank you to everyone who helped out.
