Hoof nippers and clinchers might look like they do similar jobs, but they’re used for completely different steps.

Nippers are used to trim the hoof wall and remove excess length, shaping the hoof before finishing work begins.

Clinchers come in later. After the nails are driven and cut, clinchers bend and tighten them down to secure the shoe in place.

Using the right tool at the right time makes the whole job cleaner, faster, and more precise.

The horses get restless. More stomping, more tail swishing, more standing in the shade trying to get away from it all.
