We had a great distribution night with 70 meals served! We came home with only 3 articles of clothing, one pair of shoes, some toothpaste/brush combos, mouthwash and antibiotic ointment is all we had left! Wow! Huge thank you to The Food Source Foundation for the carrots that went into the coleslaw as well as $60 for the meal we purchased using the Winco gift card they graciously sponsored us monthly with. $1 per person is pretty great and all 5 gallons of ice cold juice got drank before the food was even gone 😮 Also for the wonderful Souper Sunday member brought chili that went fast! And of course our volunteers Chris, his wife & Autumn our new cohost for downtown distribution came out giving away clothing, shoes and brought eggs, pantry foods, blankets and plastic bags. We are in dire need of soap/body wash or body wipes, sunscreen, bug spray (Irish Spring Soap works), lotion, aloe Vera & new underwear/socks. Oh and another thank you because met with someone from Olympia Mutual Aid Partners to give emergency food supplies to distribute and she even helped setup and give away some new shoes for the beginning! You all make everything possible and I’m grateful for each of you!
