My kitchen lamp! 😍 I won this at a thrift store auction, and I love it. I wanted a way to display my mother’s dessert cookbook, so I thrifted a napkin holder that sort of matches the lamp’s color. That cookbook was used often, and we loved looking at the illustrations while she baked. It doesn’t have a publication date, but my guess is she got it as a wedding gift in 1964. 💕💕💕💕💕

Do you have a kitchen lamp? What about displaying beloved cookbooks in your kitchen?

I thrifted this cute little hand-made snowman candle holder that still has the green gift ribbon and original tag. Clearly someone got this as a Christmas gift sometime between 2000 and last holiday season, and that someone did not like their gift! 😂 I see so many brand new items in the thrift stores that were obviously gifts that got donated. Works for me! 🎁👏 🛍️🪙

Did you have one of these back in the 80s? I’m all about nostalgia these days and want all the vintage decor and items. I thrifted this for $4.99. I hemmed and hawed about that price because I’m cheap, lol. I do think it’s a quality piece and will look great at my Halloween party in a couple of weeks.

Who knew? I tried to return this unopened, untampered with Grab Bag to Goodwill and was told Grab Bags were non-returnable. I had no idea. I see their logic. Maybe I opened this, took a pumpkin out, and resealed it. 😂 Oh, well. I’m stuck with this six Oriental Trading plastic pumpkins. 🎃 I’ll figure out something to do with them!

I get a lot of “is it safe” questions on my Uranium Glass posts and reels. Uranium Glass is safe to display and handle. The amount of radiation coming from these Depression Glass pieces is so low that it cannot harm you. The radiation from this plate is 10,000 times lower than flying in an airplane for an hour. It’s 5000 times lower than getting a chest x-ray. Many home electronics give off far more radiation than uranium glass. Of course, the EPA cautions against eating or drinking off uranium glass because they are covering their arses. I rarely eat or drink from my uranium glass, but on occasion, I do. All that being said, you do you:
Display and never eat or drink ✅
Don’t collect at all ✅
Don’t even touch in the thrift store ✅
Display and use on occasion ✅
Display and use often ✅
Definitely do your own research ✅
Do read the study in the comments ✅

Don’t ever click links! This scam came from a Vinted user as though they are sending a message to me. First, if Vinted wanted me to verify information, they would send an email. Second, if this was actually purchased, Vinted would say it was sold. Anyway, don’t click links. If you aren’t sure, just don’t.

Ceramic Christmas trees! I never actually thought I would find one in the wild, and I’ve been window shopping online for weeks. My dream is a vintage one, but I could not leave these two behind. 🎄🎄

Update on my thrifted ceramic Christmas tree(s): they work! If either is vintage, they barely are vintage. I do think some made in the 90s used batteries. I don’t care because I love them! 😍🎄
