Today started out dreary, rainy, and uncertain! If we’re being honest, weather days are always nerve-wracking for farmers, bakers, makers, and small businesses. Behind every market booth is days, weeks, and sometimes months of work.
Seeds were planted many months ago before, and harvest is ready when it's ready. Bakers stayed up late tending sourdough that can take three days to make, hours upon hours of coffee brewing the night before. Families packed their trucks in the dark this morning hoping the weather would hold and wondering if the community would still come.
And you did.🥹
Despite the gloomy skies and the rain, our community showed up in such a big way today. You came out, shopped local, supported small, filled your bags, encouraged vendors, and reminded every single person at this market why we do this.
Many of our vendors sold out today because YOU chose to support local even when it would’ve been easier to stay home. That kind of support means more than words can say. It helps families. It keeps farms going, it keeps all of us going. It keeps dreams alive. It keeps local food on local tables.
From all of our market families to yours — thank you. Truly.
Thank you for continuing to show up.
Thank you for grocery shopping local.
Thank you for believing in your community.
And thank you for standing beside your farmers, bakers, growers, and makers — rain or shine. 🌧️❤️☀️
