Sewing Lessons!

School is back in session… and so is Homeschool! Homeschoolers and parents, I am offering sewing lessons in my home (Lafayette) at various times throughout the week. $25 an hour which includes supplies and access to sewing machines.

I am a background checked, Georgia certified K-5 teacher, and I ask parents stay during lessons!

Hi everyone! It’s been a moment since I put an update on here!

First, I want to say thank you to the LaFayette Farmers Market-GA for having me this summer! This was an awesome community of people to work alongside and it allowed me to meet so many of you and grow my business, so for that I’m extremely grateful and thankful!

Secondly, the market wraps up this weekend, so I will be shifting to in-house alterations moving forward. I am located in the heart of Lafayette and open and ready for both appointments and drop offs!

Lastly- my skill set! My favorites are hems, small and large hole repairs, and zipper replacements. I am capable of doing formal wear, and wedding (on a case by case basis), and can do most all basic to advanced alterations work. I am COMMITTED to being affordable and honest- and if I do not feel comfortable doing a job, I am quick to refer you to a trained professional and will be honest and transparent about why.

This weeks ✨ALTERED✨

- 2 rompers hemmed
- khaki hem
- shorten sleeve of a sweatshirt
- hem repair on dress pants
- a ✨wedding dress✨! (This is my second one I’ve done, both needed an “emergency tuck” to be ready to go down the aisle and services were done while the bride waited. A lot of try on, pin, take off, sew, repeat)
- 2 casual dresses hemmed

Best part? All were dropped off on a Friday and completed by Tuesday morning!

Today was a ✨GREAT✨ day at the market!

I’ll be honest, I was really skeptical going into today. My alterations have been steady, but market drop offs have been sparse. The last clothing swap was a total flop, and honestly my detergent and tallow doesn’t get enough air time.

But today, a lot of things turned around!

I put my tallow in detergent on my main table, and a lot of people were more interested because my product was high level. We only brought one machine and I ended up not using it live because I took all my alterations home to work on them at home and do them over the next three days (ish). Lastly, the clothing swap was a huge success. It would only be successful because of you! Thank you all to everyone who came and joined today. It was completely free, and everyone who donated left being blessed two fold!

I have decided my next ADULT SIZES SWAP will be JULY 11th! Share share share and come take advantage of this free opportunity!
