So burning my down time from bows I’m trying to get as much done in my home as possible. I haven’t had a mantle in probably 10 years as this home reno just drags on and on lol, but hey I did raise 2 kids and had 2 jobs so I’ll cut myself some slack😂
My husband and I made the mantle from wood (I tried to get prices that had as many knots as possible) then I distressed it with a hammer and literally a paint can opener. Just something to make notches in it. The used a map has torch to burn and give the grains definition. Lastly will finish off with multiple colors of stain to give it that real old aged look
Lol the sooner I get all these project done the sooner I can work on a new space for my bow shop! Lol it never ends 😂😂😂
No matter what create , be artistic.
I may use my brain all week at my “professional” job but using my hands and imagination is what I love best
