We left last Wednesday for a camping trip south for warmer weather. First stop was near Peru, IN at a state park on a reservoir lake with a cool dam. Next to southern Indiana basically on the border of Kentucky the bridge and tunnel vids are crossing the river in to KY. Next. KOA in Horse Cave,KY that had teepees, covered wagons and treehouses. Pretty cool! Left Tuesday morning for Fall Creek Falls State Park in Tennessee. Lucked out and got a spot for over the holiday weekend so we’re here for almost a week. We’ll explore the area soon.

Last couple days heading home. Nice state park in Ohio we’ll go back to in warmer weather. Last night at a KOA was our last camping night for 2025. Dreaming of next year.

Been pretty rainy for a few days but dry and cloudy today. Visited De Soto Falls while we’re camping here and today drove to Nocolula Falls in Gadsden, AL. 2 more nights in the park we’re in then starting back north Thursday morning. Hoping the rain is passed by for now.

Working our way south with a quick stop at one of our favorites. Cumberland Falls. We’re in a Tennessee state park now for a few days. Finding campsites has been a struggle. Not like the good old days. So after a nice dinner of steak and sautéed mushrooms we made reservations for the next part of our trip.

We’re in Kentucky because the sign said so and the scenery looks like it! My grandpa and my dad’s favorite place to go. Guess it runs in my veins too.

Left Sunday mid morning for the last camping vacation of this year. Stopped in Ohio at Indian Lake state park for 2 nights before moving on towards Kentucky and/or Tennessee. We love it down here in the fall. Camping is peaceful after summer is done. This park has Halloween fun set up for kids on weekends I assume. Rained yesterday but dry and sunny today. Hoping for good weather for the next couple weeks.

I have to share today’s joy. I purchased a cutting machine a few years ago seeing others use them to cut vinyl patterns for sewing and bag making. I have struggled multiple times to get it to cut nicely. It’s a combination of a few different settings and blades plus different types of vinyl. I found a video yesterday and followed her tips. Shazam! Worked perfect. So happy so here’s a couple vids of the process and the final product. A from . Thanks for a great design and including the cut files with the pattern. So in case you’re not a friend or church family, I had a small stroke almost 4 years ago. I don’t have any serious loss of function but it’s still a thing. Hard to explain but I surely feel different. I still sew but have lost my drive and some creativity. I rarely go out alone, hubby is my chauffeur. But he was gone yesterday so I ventured out for fun and a couple errands. FYI Michael’s has a small but growing fabric and notions department. Good prices from what I saw. I found these 3 canvas floral prints for $2.00 a yard. Score!! They spoke to me and I’m deciding what to make after I catch up with what’s already cut and ready and a special order. My left side was affected and it’s fine just a bit slow and sometimes awkward. A stroke damages your brain and my hardest struggle is emotions and fatigue. But I’m not giving up. Hope to have some cute things to share in the future. Thanks for sticking with me.

We left San Antonio Sunday noonish and have been traveling towards home all week. Saw a few things and stayed at some nice campgrounds. But happy to be back in the mitten and sleeping at home tonight. It was a great trip!

Decided to be tourists for the evening and visited the Riverwalk and had dinner there. Mariachis were right behind us. Such fun! Also the smells of cooking foods is so so good! Very busy any day. But still so hot. 🌮🥵sound on for the short video.
