There’s nothing better than hearing from families who feel supported, informed and confident through their sleep journey 💕

This beautiful feedback is such a reminder that sleep support doesn’t have to feel overwhelming. With the right guidance, gentle changes and ongoing support, families can make progress in a way that feels manageable for both parents and baby.

Starting with understanding newborn sleep can make such a difference, building confidence early and knowing where to turn when things begin to feel hard. Watching little ones gradually learn new sleep skills while parents feel reassured every step of the way is exactly why we do what we do ✨

If you’re currently feeding, rocking or holding your little one to sleep and wondering how to gently move toward more independent sleep, we’re here to support you every step of the way 💕

If you feel like you’re the “dummy fairy” overnight… you are definitely not alone 💕

One of the biggest turning points for sleep is when your baby learns to find and replace their dummy independently and the key is teaching, not just doing.

From around 6-7 months, babies are capable of learning this skill but they need the right setup and the right level of support.

Think of it as a progression:
👉 First you guide
👉 Then you support
👉 Then you step back

Small changes, like placing the dummy in their hand instead of their mouth or pausing before responding can make a huge difference over time.

And yes, it can feel slower in the moment… but it pays off in longer, more settled nights 🙌

If you’re stuck in the cycle of replacing the dummy multiple times a night, our Sleepy Forum offers personalised, ongoing support or you can book a call to get a clear plan in place 💕

Motherhood was never meant to be polished and perfect. 💕

Give me the mums who send voice notes while hiding in the pantry eating snacks, the ones surviving on cold coffee and chaos, the ones who can say “today is HARD” without pretending otherwise.

Those are the friendships that get you through the trenches of motherhood. The honest ones. The real ones. The “I’m losing it today” ones. Because sometimes the best kind of support is knowing you’re not the only one having that kind of morning. 🫶

7 months is often a very appropriate age to transition to their own room if that’s what feels right for your family. Research shows that room sharing for at least the first 6 months can help reduce the risk of SIDS, which is why many parents choose to wait until after this point before moving baby into their own space.

The good news? By 7 months, many babies are developmentally capable of sleeping very safely and successfully in their own room when safe sleep guidelines are followed. In fact, some families notice both baby and parents sleep more soundly with fewer disturbances from normal overnight noises and movements.

That said, being nervous is completely understandable. Moving your baby to their own room can feel emotional and daunting, especially if you’ve become used to having them close overnight. There is no ‘perfect’ age, the best timing is when:
• Baby is sleeping in a safe sleep space
• You feel emotionally ready
• The setup feels practical and comfortable for your family
• Safe sleep guidelines are being followed consistently

If you do decide to transition, you can make it feel gentler by:
• Starting with naps in their own room first
• Using a monitor for reassurance
• Keeping bedtime routines familiar and consistent
• Giving yourself a few nights to adjust too, often parents find the transition harder than babies do!

Every baby and family is different, and there is no one size fits all approach. The goal is always safe sleep and helping everyone get the rest they need.

Separation anxiety is one of the most common developmental stages we see in babies and toddlers, yet it can leave parents feeling exhausted, emotional and unsure of what to do.

For many families, it starts showing up around sleep, suddenly your little one who previously settled well is now fighting bedtime, waking more overnight or becoming upset whenever you leave the room.

While this can feel incredibly hard, separation anxiety is actually a sign of healthy attachment and development.

Your child is learning that you can leave, but they are still developing the understanding that you will return. During this phase, they often seek extra comfort, reassurance and connection to feel safe.

The biggest things that help are:
• Predictable routines
• Calm and confident responses
• Connection throughout the day
• Consistency with boundaries
• Time and patience

If you are currently navigating separation anxiety, know that you are not alone and this phase will pass 💕
