Optimystikals

Optimystikals All handmade items, made by me, in my home. I've decided to make items that I know I enjoy. I share my home with canine and feline children.

I make things for friends and family, and I do take commissions when I am able. I am rarely able to replicate the same exact thing twice, particularly with crochet. Please beware, if I do accept a commission, while every attempt is made to ensure items are free of unwanted contributions from them, I cannot 100% guarantee that a random hair has not been donated to any given item. Feel free to message me with any questions.

Hey, Everyone! This is Tara, creator of this page. Ok, so about a year and a half ago, my personal page was wrongfully deactivated, along with thousands of others. Some have found success in getting their accounts reinstated. Others, like me, are still trying. As a result, I haven't been able to access my business page here, either. I've been fortunate to have a dear friend watch over the page for me. I am still attempting to get my account back. I have not given up, yet. While I continue to work on that, I want to let you guys know that you can find me on Instagram , and you can also find some of my art designs for sale on a variety of products at my shop at optimystikals.redbubble.com. Thank you all, and I hope to see you again here in the not too distant future.

Since my cats love laying on my crochet, I thought I'd make them a "cat couch". Patchwork colors from yarn scraps over a foam form. Placed in the living room window that gets lots of afternoon sun. And the first taker is my big boy, Cirrus. Creating is keeping me focused right now.

The blanket I made for my son this year. The center design is a simplified version of a pixel art piece he did, combining 2 games he loves: the diamond sword from Minecraft, and the purple hat from A Hat in Time.

I've seen various versions of "Santaur" floating around the internet the last couple of years. Most are either glass or ceramic. I have no idea who the originator is. So shout out to whoever you are, and I will edit this post if that information appears to give credit where credit is due. This is my crochet interpretation. It will be going out in the mail this week (after I remove my cat's contributions) as a gift to a friend who once mentioned she liked them. The eyes are unakite stones, which seemed fitting as they represent joy and gratitude.

Our Story

All handmade items, made by me, in my home. Because each item is individually handmade, there will be minor variances in color, size, etc. Also, I will rarely have more than 1 of any item in stock at any given moment. If you see something you like, but it isn't currently listed for sale on my site, I've either sold it or simply haven't posted it yet. I'm always trying to come up with new twists on old ideas. Please know that I share my home with canine and feline familiars. While every attempt is made to ensure items are free of unwanted contributions from them, I cannot 100% guarantee that a random hair has not been donated to any given item. I am more than happy to do custom work. Please note: my base fee is $10/hr, with half due up front. Based on the request, I can guesstimate the time needed for completion, however, an accurate time will be used for final cost. For example, a twin-sized blanket generally ranges from 20 - 40 hours of work, depending on the design. Feel free to message me with any questions.
