This week Ladies of Charity volunteers had the privilege of spending time with an incredible group of women living in a community that supports those experiencing homelessness.
I’ve always been told to give back… but today, I truly felt why it matters.
We met beautiful souls with powerful stories, stories of resilience, courage, and hope. And in those moments, something shifted.
Perspective changed.
Gratitude grew.
Hearts softened.
We all get busy. We all feel like we have “a lot going on.”
But there are people who simply need to be seen, heard, and loved.
And when you slow down enough to truly see them… it changes you.
Community First! Village Shopping Day was a beautiful success.
We welcomed 15 residents for a private shopping experience, each greeted with a smile, a voucher, and a chance to shop, connect, and enjoy lunch together Jason's Deli
Thanks to the creativity of Stella Denny and MJ Eversole, every guest received a special gift bag filled with jewelry, chocolate, and a sweet cosmetic pouch, such a thoughtful touch that made the day even more meaningful.
But the true highlight?
The people.
The conversations.
The laughter.
The connection.
We were deeply inspired by their perseverance, their talents, and their strength. From handmade jewelry and crocheted pieces to artwork and photography.
So many have overcome more than we can imagine… and yet they continue to show up with hope.
I’m so grateful for every volunteer who helped create a space filled with dignity, joy, and love.
Get involved.
Give back.
Be the light.
Because when you help someone else… it doesn’t just change their life—it changes yours.
