As some of you may know , end of 2024 I decided to shut down my boutique after 8 years & just around the time I was trying to prepare my exit , but life hit me in ways that I did not see coming. So this entire year , I had to rebuild myself back up not only in business, but even in my personal life.
People don’t really talk about the grief that follows after stepping away from a business/career that you worked very hard for and for me closing my 1st business down hit me pretty hard emotionally. At first it felt like a relief because I finally built up the courage to put it down, but then it hit me — WHAT NEXT?! Who am I without Dream Couture? What about all the hard work, the community that was built & just like that, it’s all gone.
I didn’t feel ready to just jump into another business venture, I didn’t feel ready to release that version of me that built an identity throughout those 8 years — that version of me is all I knew.
I knew I had other talents & that it wasn’t the end of my story, but I didn’t know what my next chapter would even look like. I asked God what he had in store for me — day by day, prayer by prayer, step by step the vision came ,but the faith had to follow. I had no plan, but this whole time I’ve been building up for this moment. In the process , I was becoming & with that the business vision came to life.
This entire year God was preparing me.
All the setbacks, discomfort, lessons , losses, disappointments that I’ve endured allowed me to persevere & come back even stronger , so that I can share my vision with you all in this new chapter.
Soooo here’s the REBRAND — DBV STUDIO , which is the extension of . Stay tuned as the story unfolds and what’s to come about with the studio.
