Did a little project today and made some little copper ear cuffs. Went to make myself two and wound up making 5 because the kids had to have them too 🤣 which is your favorite?

All finished! This was a special order and I was told make it a size 7.5 and an inch wide, apart from that do whatever you want so I took a piece of pipe, sliced it, flattened it and rolled it thru the rolling mill with a leaf to get the pattern/ texture. I'm so happy with the turn out, what do you think?

Non jewelry related post, making some "normal" zucchini bread as everyone here at home calls it. Because the mass of chocolate zucchini bread last week wasn't what everyone wanted. (That's ok with me, not being able to eat eggs I use yogurt often for replacer. Fun fact it doesn't work for brownie mix and chocolate zucchini bread is darn close in taste to a brownie) Anywho I enjoyed the chocolate zucchini bread all week long and everyone else had some. I really love baking and cooking in general and worked in a few restaurants including one of my best friends restaurants! Next this weekend is homemade eggless Belgian waffles 🧇! Can't wait for those bad boys either.

Big piece is the w.i.p ring. What do you think I should use those test pieces for?

Recycled copper with a leaf in the rolling mill to create that texture/pattern.

A work in progress from the bench tonight.
This piece is still taking shape, but I wanted to share some of the texture work. I use reclaimed copper and often create textures using antique hammers, stones, and found objects to give each piece its own character.
I can't wait to see where this one ends up. This one I actually used a dried leaf to texture the ring.

Today wasn't a jewelry-making day. Between work, kids, and everything else, I spent the afternoon baking zucchini bread instead. One of my favorite things about handmade living is creating things from scratch—whether it's copper jewelry or something fresh from the kitchen. Has anyone else been baking with zucchini this summer?
