This week at Badges of Honor, we’ve been working on a new series of Ft. Lauderdale Fire Rescue-inspired station shirts.

We created updated logo-style designs that keep the look and feel of the original station artwork, while cleaning them up with smoother lines and a sharper shirt-ready finish. Each design is made to celebrate the personality, pride, and character of the individual firehouses.

The collection includes shirts inspired by several Ft. Lauderdale stations, including Station 2, 3, 8, 13, 16, 29, 35, 46, 47, 49, 53, and 54.

A portion of all shirt sales will go to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

These are unofficial designs and are not endorsed by Ft. Lauderdale Fire Rescue. Some creative liberties were taken while recreating and updating the station-style artwork.

Before and After… or as we like to call it: “We promise there was a logo in there somewhere.”

Some of the artwork we receive is grainy, faded, blurry, tiny, crooked, or looks like it has survived three scanners, a photocopier, and a flip phone camera.

But that’s where the fun starts.

Our artists take that rough source material, clean it up, sharpen the details, rebuild what needs a little love, and work hard to keep the original look and feel intact.

Because the goal isn’t to turn it into something totally different. The goal is to bring the original back to life — just with clearer lines, better detail, and a lot less “what am I looking at?”

We know we’ve been slacking a bit on social media lately.

The truth is, we’re old firefighters, and this whole posting, sharing, liking, tagging, algorithm-chasing thing can feel like more work than pulling a ceiling at 3 a.m.

But we’re going to try to do better.

We appreciate everyone who has stuck with us, followed along, paid attention, and supported what we’re doing. Thank you for staying with us while we figure this out.

More posts are coming. Probably. Hopefully. As long as we remember the password.

🚒 The overhaul is almost done… and we’re getting fired up!

We’ve been hard at work behind the scenes cleaning things up, making improvements, and getting ready to roll out some brand-new designs.

Coming soon: fresh FDNY-inspired shirts, including Brooklyn fire station designs that bring company pride, tradition, and firehouse spirit front and center.

Thanks for hanging with us while we finish things up. The new look is almost ready — and the new designs are going to be worth the wait.
