Meet the queen of polka dots... Jennifer from Polka Dots - Old Town Lansing! 🖤⚪

Jennifer opened Polka Dots because she wanted to build something of her own in a community she loves. Today, her boutique is known for ethically sourced clothing, unique accessories, and helping everyone find pieces that make them feel comfortable and like themselves, no matter their size.

Many of the brands Jennifer carries directly support people who have been harmed by the fashion industry. While Polka Dots may be a small shop, Jennifer is committed to making a positive impact both here in Old Town and around the world through thoughtful, ethical sourcing.

Some of her favorite products include the Starfish Project, which helps women and children who have been trafficked build new careers and life skills, and Bridgewater Candle Company, where every candle purchased helps provide three meals to children facing hunger.

Whether you're looking for a breezy summer dress, your next favorite pair of jeans, or the perfect accessory, Jennifer believes everyone should wear what makes them feel their best, no matter their size, style, or what others think looks best. It's about feeling comfortable, happy, and authentically yourself.

Chalk of the Town is happening tomorrow!

🎨 Chalk of the Town is still a go......but different.

After closely monitoring the forecast and talking with our participating artists, we've made the decision to move forward with tomorrows event.

We'll continue monitoring conditions throughout the day, and the health and safety of our artists, volunteers, and visitors remains our top priority.

We can't wait to see some incredible chalk art come to life and be on the look out for photos of the created art to pick the "Peoples Choice Award" and new this year the "Cravings Choice Award". This year your online voice will help us pick the winners!

Old Town needs your help! Please consider donating $1! We're raising money for more public trash cans for Old Town Lansing. If we get the largest number of individual donors, up to $5,000 will be matched! Here's where you come in. We're close to our $5,000 goal but need to get about 75 more individual donors. Your $1 donation can help us to get an additional $5K!

Our new public trash cans will be made by Scrapfest artists with scrap metal donated by Friedland Industries, Old Town's oldest business. These will not only help our neighborhood stay clean, they will add public art throughout the community. Please consider a small donation and sharing this post.
