No way could I go to go to Las Vegas without a little Attallah Label. ✨

I got into a bike accident last week which slowed me down on the piece that I was working on for this trip so instead, I used the Bouquet shawl I knit for last year’s ‘Floral’ collection as a poolside cover-up. It didn’t spend much time on me though because I was busy bouncing a beach ball and my bandaged knee in the pool. Worth every second. 😎

Attallah Label for the Met Gala 2022

This is the FIRST dress I’ve ever hand made. I used my grandest gold yarns to knit myself a dress aligned with this year’s Met Gala theme, Gilded Glamour. The theme corresponds with ’s exhibit, In America: An Anthology of Fashion, which is a tribute to the 19th and 20th century “Gilded Age” styles in American fashion and the designers and makers who made them so. Since this is the first dress I’ve ever knit as a North American-born designer, this is simply me writing my own history.

Did I understand the assignment? I may have waited until the month before the Met to knit and design this dress, but I turned it in, did I not?!
