Story time!

Last year around this time (I think it was late September of ‘21), UE introduced “scrappy earrings”. These earrings were made of cork scraps from other projects.

They were SO popular!! Y’all loved that they were preventing waste and made from a plant based material!

I made over 100 of them for in person events, thinking that would be enough to get me through the end of the year. Before December rolled around, I had to make even more!

With the feedback received from shoppers on these earrings, I’ve been able to craft a line of Cork Earrings (for retail and wholesale) featuring five designs, in three different colors/patterns each. I’ll be sharing these as we lead up to the launch (wholesale will be launching sooner than retail).

I look forward to sharing the others with you!!

☀️Everything is alright! ☀️

Ulti Ego hasn’t gone anywhere.

On a personal note: this year has challenged me in ways I DID NOT expect (I’m sure we can all say the same).

I’ve been focusing on my health after experiencing symptoms that left me in too much pain to even get out of bed for months. After multiple tests and imaging I still don’t have all the answers I’ve been looking for but I’ve recovered to a point where I’m feeling healthy and energetic enough to return to Ulti Ego. Lately, my bad days are better than my best days from even a month ago. Something I am so grateful for, I can’t even put into the words the relief I feel coming back!

These last few months have represented quite a transition in my life (peep my new hair cut), which means Ulti Ego has also been going through some changes.

Moving forward, UE will be transitioning to 100% plant-based products (with the exception of hardware and notions where applicable). I still have some materials around that don’t fall under the plant-based umbrella, so you can expect to see some of those pieces popping up here and there as I work through my stock.

Other UE Updates:
🌱Our wholesale offerings will be exclusively plant-based.

🪄Non plant-based products will be available for individual sale in our online shop and some in-person events.

🎉Ulti Ego will be making a return to in-person markets this fall!

In other news, a new coffee shop has opened up by my house!! My husband has popped by regularly this week to treat us to some .coffee on his way to work. Convo coffee is a delightful, family-run establishment. Everyone is super friendly and the coffee is top notch! They even sell our favorite local roaster!

Lots of cork earrings have been added!!

The number one observation I get from in-person customers about these earrings is how light they are! People are constantly surprised at the lightweight nature of cork.

These earrings are made from scraps! I save all my exterior scraps and turn them into earrings contribute as little as possible to landfills!
