Me and my boo boo ! I gotta get better at taking pics holding a baby with heels on ! I took off my high heels so I wouldn’t be taller than this tree 😂😂😂. This time last year I was tired as hell cuz I was pregnant and didn’t know yet ! I remember saying “ I just want to sleep” . Everyone was shocked . No trip was planned and no outfit was picked out !

Hearst Castle

This massive estate was built by newspaper mogul William Randolph Hearst… who technically had a wife, Millicent Hearst, but was out here living at the castle full-time with his much younger side chick, actress Marion Davies.

Back in the day, this place was THE invite to get. Celebrities everywhere, formal dinners, and mandatory cocktail hour every evening. But the funny part? If guests skipped cocktail hour or didn’t follow the vibe, Hearst would literally threaten to kick them out of the castle 😭 imagine getting uninvited from a literal palace.

Also… he had a private zoo. Zebras, giraffes, exotic animals roaming the grounds like it was normal.

But plot twist: after losing a huge fortune later on, he had to start selling off parts of his collection—and even the zoo animals.

Okay friends, let me tell you about PART 1 of our California trip because it was such a vibe 🍷✨

We planned this as a 3-part getaway: Paso Robles, Pismo Beach (only like 30 minutes away), Sequoia National Park, and Los Angeles.

So we actually flew into Los Angeles International Airport and drove to Paso because their airport didn’t have flights that worked for our dates—but honestly, it ended up being super easy and kind of part of the experience.

First stop was DAOU Vineyards and WOW 😍
If you know, you know—they’re famous for their Cabernet Sauvignon, and the views are insane. Like, one of those places where you just sit there and take it all in.

We stayed at SpringHill Suites by Marriott Paso Robles Atascadero and I’m gonna be real with y’all—it’s not super fancy. BUT traveling with a 3-month-old, it was exactly what we needed. We had space, a little living room area so one of us could sleep while the other was up feeding the baby, and most importantly… a freezer for breast milk 🙌🏽
At this stage, function over luxury all day, and it worked perfectly for us.

Also… let me keep it real for a second 😂
Yes, I was out here pumping milk while wine tasting 🍷🍼 multitasking at its finest! But I did notice later in the trip that even just doing tastings less than a glass of wine was affecting my milk supply, so I decided to stop drinking for the rest of the trip sad as hell hear me !!. Mom life is all about adjusting in real time, and baby comes first 💙
