For the last few months me along with I believe 12-13 other talented artist have been building all these giant props for the “Bellagio’s” fall conservatory” install which is all now currently open to the public for millions of tourist & locals to view & enjoy inside the Bellagio in Las Vegas.
Everything made from scratch, hand cut, carved, sculpted, welded, fiberglassed, painted, grinded, drilled etc. Using natural elements like we always do like natural Ca drift wood, tamale skins, ostrich feathers and more.
We did not do all the props that are now on display, there is a few things we did not do….
But what we did make is both Bears, The Giant boy, the Giant dog, the Giant basket, the Giant bass and the Giant trout. All working together, bouncing from project to project pushing through weekends and weeks of late exhausting hours. Just a team of dope talented artists out here making Legendary and giant pieces of Art for millions to see.
I will say the Bears kicked my ass! I have melted molten steel from welding melted into my skin, lumps on my shin, slices, cuts, bruises etc. But in the end after seeing the final install I can say I am proud to have been 1 of the talented artist on the team and personally put my hands on and put work into every single piece that we installed.
