We all have that outfit in the closet that we just can’t part with.

It’s too special…
It has sentimental value…
It was so expensive…
If only it still fit…
So have it altered!

After children, my client’s rib cage expanded a bit. Her figure is just as lovely, but it’s just different now. This outfit was special to her, so we made it work for the beautiful body she currently has. We let out the seams throughout the shorts and created a new waistband using a color complimentary to this gorgeous print. Then we used the fabric from the original waistband we removed to add an extension to the top. The result is stunning on her…and this piece no longer sits in the back of the closet.

This past month in the shop has been a blur! We’ve seen several brides, bridesmaids, and mothers of the bride/groom. We’ve had various types of tailoring requests & repairs - suits, hems, a few VGK jerseys, plus a couple of custom design orders - - like this beauty that was ready for her first fitting last night. The mannequin couldn’t do justice for my client’s curves…can’t wait to see her in the final product.

It’s wonderful meeting so many new clients lately who have exciting events to look forward to again!

Major accomplishment this weekend. Reopened the workshop for production of 600 masks that were just completed this morning for the Clark County School District. Essential workers are still providing meals to students during this time. I’m proud to have been able to make this order happen for them in just 3 days.

Shout out to team social distance for help with the prep work! Jesse, Priscilla, Hannah, Ricky - - couldn’t have finished this without you!
