We've been playing with a lot of velvets as we make our way into fall, so it seems like the perfect time for a special !

Both independent and intrepid at an early age, Pamela struck out on her own while she was still in high school. Having petitioned for the right to remain enrolled in public school while living on her own, she managed to support herself working a myriad assortment of jobs as she plowed toward that diploma.

A beautiful example of her early design work modeled by the knockout herself, she made this pattern and then the prototype in 1973 and sold it to a major pattern company for $25.00.

I just returned from a week of Middle Eastern music and dance study at where for 7 days I enjoyed no phone service or internet connection, playing frame drum, listening to Turkish, Arabic, and Armenian ensembles, Sephardic singing, dancing modern Turkish and classical Persian choreographies, connecting with new and old friends, feeling the brisk California air and healing power of the redwood trees. .
I am planning to celebrate this week's full moon by practicing everything I learned. (I might even go live tonight around 8pm CST to sing you a Sephardic lullaby I learned with my frame drum).
Thank you to the organizers and teachers of Mid East Camp. I'm in love with you and our shared passions.

We've been waiting with baited breath to see this custom costume for Michelle Sorensen-Belly Dancer combined with the gorgeous choreography it was made for, and we weren't prepared for the intense, moving loveliness of it all!

🌟Being an artist for living, it can sometimes be difficult choosing what it is I present to my audience. This new piece was conceived nearly 2 years ago, but I wasn't emotionally ready to share it until now.
There's nothing particularly unique in the movements, but the way it was born was an entirely unique experience for me. It seemed to pour out of me. There was no thinking, no changing of movements. Everything just fit. It is emotional, tragic and delicately feminine, and I can't wait to share this part of my story with all of you. 💖
