For example, paintings or sculptures, both works of art and culture, have no functional value. However, usually, these works of art are used for religious rituals.
Besides the two general functions of art and culture described above, cultural arts also have several useful functions in specific everyday life. Here are some of these functions.
Religious Function. In Indonesia, cultural arts are often used in various religious activities to convey religious messages to the people. The religious function of this cultural art can be seen, for example, in performing wedding ceremonies, and birth and death ceremonies.
Communication function. Cultural arts in the daily life of the Indonesian people also function as a medium or means of communication. Cultural arts are used to convey ideas, opinions, and criticism to the public. The delivery of information and communication with cultural arts is also more effective.
Education Function. In everyday life, arts and culture play an important role in education. In arts and culture that are beautifully displayed, there are lessons in life, good manners, good manners, and so on.
Entertainment function. Almost in the same way as the functions described above, in addition to the applied functions described, the cultural arts also function as entertainment. The aspect of beauty and the feeling of entertainment when attending cultural arts performances is a real manifestation of this function.

Art

The next type of cultural art is dance. This dance is a rhythmic movement that is done to express feelings and convey messages that are performed in a certain place and time. The dance movement that is a form of expression of this art also has a specific purpose.
This dance consists of many variations, from traditional dances to modern dances. Dance cannot be called art if it has not fulfilled the elements, both the main and supporting elements. The main elements consist of three elements, namely wiraga, wirama, and wirasa or raga, rhythm, and taste. Meanwhile, the supporting elements include the variety of movements and accompaniments, costumes, makeup, and floor patterns.
Music
Music is the next type of cultural art. The art of music is the result of a combination of pitch, rhythm, sound, and harmonization to produce a harmonious sound.
