Veronica Henderson, my childhood buddy. Told her story on . If it wasn't for me pausing to show my girls the hood I grew up in and the memories we shared, I wouldn't need to watch it again. A lot of people would think it's glorifying the hood but that's where we come from and look where we are now. Exciting to say the least! A lot of Boss energy in these hoods have gone from hustle to heaven. Women-owned businesses, current success stories, lessons, growth, grit, and grind. I've watched a few episodes and this one was the best. Maybe I'm biased cause I'm from Oakland. We danced to in front of her house on 72nd and Spencer doing the Electric slide in the middle of the street 20 deep, stopping the bus from its normal route. I love these nostalgic moments.
