Long before the Evil Eye became jewellery, wall charms, tattoos and blue glass amulets, it was a warning.

Across the ancient world, people believed that a glance could carry power.

Not always through witchcraft.

Not always through a spoken curse.

Sometimes the danger came from envy, jealousy, admiration, bitterness, obsession or praise that felt too hungry.

The Evil Eye was the belief that someone could harm you simply by looking at you with destructive intent.

A beautiful child.

A new home.

A pregnancy.

A successful harvest.

A thriving business.

A happy marriage.

Anything blessed could attract the gaze of someone who wanted what they did not have.

This is why protective eye amulets appear across so many cultures, from the Mediterranean to the Middle East, North Africa, Greece, Turkey, Rome and beyond. The eye was placed on jewellery, boats, doorways, clothing, animals and children to reflect the harmful gaze back before it could settle.

The symbol was not created to invite darkness.

It was created to guard against it.

The Evil Eye reveals something ancient people understood very well.

Energy changes when envy enters the room.

Praise can feel sharp when it is not clean.

Attention is not always harmless.

Some people do not need to touch what you have to disturb it. They only need to watch it with hunger.

That is why the Evil Eye became such a powerful protective symbol.

It is the eye that watches the watcher.

The gaze that turns the curse away.

The shield that says what is mine is protected, what is blessed is guarded, and what is growing will not be fed to another person’s envy.

The Evil Eye is not just about fear.

It is about spiritual boundaries.

It is about knowing that not every person who looks at your life is looking with love.

And sometimes the oldest magic is simply this.

To protect your peace before someone else’s gaze tries to take it.

🦋💜 Litha Blessings! 💜🦋

Today, 20 June, the world stands on the edge of Litha.

The Summer Solstice has not fully opened yet, yet you can feel it approaching in the land. The light stretches longer. The air feels charged. The trees are heavy with green life. The herbs are stronger. The fire of the year is rising toward its highest point.

Litha is not only the longest day.

It is the moment before the wheel turns.

In old seasonal magic, the Summer Solstice was a time of fire, protection, abundance, fertility, healing, and power. People lit bonfires to honour the sun, gathered herbs at their strongest, blessed homes, protected livestock, made offerings to the land, and watched the sky as though light itself had become sacred.

Yet there is a hidden truth inside Litha that makes it deeper than celebration.

At the height of the sun, the dark begins its return.

The longest day carries the first whisper of shorter nights to come. The brightest point of the year is also a threshold. This is why Litha feels so powerful for witches, pagans, and those who still listen to the old rhythm of the earth. It teaches that fullness is never meant to be held forever. Fire rises, blooms, blesses, transforms, then begins to soften.

So tonight, as the Solstice draws near, ask yourself what has grown inside you since winter. Ask what has survived the dark. Ask what is blooming now. Ask what needs your protection, your gratitude, your courage, and your sacred attention.

Light a candle for the sun.

Place your hands over your heart.

Speak thanks for what is alive.

Then offer the fire everything you are ready to stop carrying.

Litha is coming.

The sun is almost crowned.

And tomorrow, the wheel turns again.

🦋 Happy Juneteenth, My Loves! 🦋

On the night of 29 June 2026, the Strawberry Moon rises.

In the UK, she reaches her exact fullness just after midnight, at 12:57am BST on 30 June, which means her strongest energy belongs to the night of 29 June moving into 30 June.

This is the Strawberry Moon, a name tied to ripening fruit, warm earth, sweetness, growth, harvest, fertility, abundance and the first rewards of what has quietly been growing beneath the surface.

Yet this Full Moon carries a softer mystery.

It is also a micro Full Moon, meaning the moon appears slightly smaller in the sky as she sits farther away from Earth.

Spiritually, this feels like a moon of distance, perspective and quiet truth.

Not every Full Moon arrives loudly.

Some arrive gently.

Some stand back.

Some show you what has changed only after you stop trying to force the answer.

The Strawberry Moon asks you to notice what is ready to be gathered. It asks where your energy has finally bloomed, where your heart has softened, where your intuition has sharpened, and where something once hidden is now ready to be seen.

This is a powerful night for lunar magic, cleansing rituals, moon water, candle work, abundance spells, love magic, heart healing, protection work, crystal charging, divination, shadow work, dream messages and release.

Work with strawberries, honey, rose petals, lavender, basil, rosemary, moonstone, rose quartz, clear quartz, selenite, red candles, pink candles or white candles.

Write down what you are ready to release.

Speak gratitude for what has grown.

Call your energy back from anything that has drained you.

Place your crystals beneath the moonlight.

Let the water charge.

Let the old story loosen.

Let the sweetness return.

This moon reminds us that growth does not always announce itself. Sometimes the most powerful transformation happens quietly, in the dark, while no one is watching.

The Strawberry Moon is not asking you to rush forward.

She is asking you to see what has already ripened.

She is asking you to stop dismissing your progress just because it happened softly.

And even though she appears smaller in the sky, she is still whole.

So are you.

“Blessed Be” is one of those phrases people hear often in witchcraft, yet its deeper meaning is rarely understood.

It is not just a greeting.

It is not just a pretty farewell.

It is a recognition.

When a witch says “Blessed Be,” they are not only saying, “I wish good things for you.” They are acknowledging the sacred force within the person standing before them. They are speaking to the body, the spirit, the life, the path, the power, and the mystery that person carries.

In modern witchcraft, especially Wicca, “Blessed Be” became closely tied to ritual language and the blessing of the body. It echoed the idea that the human form was not shameful, sinful, or separate from the divine. The feet that walk the path, the knees that bend at the altar, the womb or creative centre that holds life force, the heart that feels, the lips that speak names, prayers, spells, and truths were all seen as worthy of blessing.

That matters.

For centuries, many spiritual traditions taught people to rise above the body, fear desire, silence intuition, and treat power as something outside themselves. Witchcraft remembered something older.

The body is not the enemy of magic.

The body is the temple it moves through.

Your breath raises power.

Your hands dress the candle.

Your voice casts the charm.

Your blood remembers cycles.

Your tears become offerings.

Your spine carries instinct.

Your skin feels the shift in a room before the mind can name it.

So when witches say “Blessed Be,” there is an old current moving beneath the words.

It means may your path be blessed.

May your body be blessed.

May your power be blessed.

May the sacred in you be seen, not hidden.

May the parts of you that were shamed, silenced, feared, or forgotten return to holiness.

This is why the phrase still carries weight.

It is not used to sound mystical.

It is used as a small spoken blessing, passed from one witch to another, reminding them that magic does not only live in the moon, the altar, the herbs, or the flame.

It lives in the person who dares to speak it.

Blessed Be.
