8 years!

It seems almost impossible that 8 years have flown by since I started this Sew Forth adventure.
Reflection on the past is always a little bittersweet. In the last 8 years I have had the privilege to know some amazing sewists and so many amazing clients. I have altered hundreds of wedding gowns and countless garments. Filled a thousand bobbins and stitched billions of stitches. Picked up way too many pins off of the floor and found a few too many gray hairs in the mirror.
But sadly, Sew Forth wouldn’t exist if not for the great loss of one of my favorite people. I try every day to be grateful for the skills Aneita taught me. One was sewing, but maybe more importantly, she taught me to enjoy life and have the confidence to run my own business.
I am so thankful to be a part of this wonderful community. I get to come to work every day and work with my hands on a new project that, in its own tiny way, helps to make someone else’s life a little bit better. What a lucky lady…

Thanks for keeping me sewing Lawrence, Ks!
