🎉 IT’S OFFICIAL! 198 MARKET IS OPENING MONDAY! 🎉

After months of planning, preparing, gathering vendors, and putting so much time and heart into this little venture, I’m beyond excited to announce that 198 Market will officially open its doors on Monday, October 19!

✂️ RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY — 12:00 PM! Visit us at 198 E Court Street!

I would absolutely love for my friends, family, and everyone in our community to come out and celebrate with us!

We’ve brought together an incredible group of approximately 35 small businesses, artisans, and vendors, each offering something a little different. And when I say we have a little bit of everything, I mean it!

You’ll find boutique clothing, children’s clothing, beautiful pottery and ceramics, handmade body products, earrings and jewelry, vintage treasures, repurposed furniture, unique home decor, original artwork and watercolors, seasonal decorations, candles and wax melts, handmade leather goods, and all sorts of wonderfully eclectic gifts.

We also have some incredibly talented makers offering embroidered items, hand-sewn totes, casserole carriers, iPad covers, knitted and crocheted creations, adorable stuffed animals (the little opossums and octopuses are some of my personal favorites!), beautiful women’s hats, and even a vendor who will be bringing us seasonal Derby hats!

And that’s just scratching the surface!

One of the things I’m most excited about is that 198 Market isn’t going to be a place where you see the same things everywhere else. I want it to be somewhere you can wander, explore, and discover something unexpected around every corner.

We’re still growing, still welcoming additional vendors, and still adding to the market. I have a vision for what I want this place to become, and while we’re not quite at 100% yet, we’re well on our way! I can’t wait for you to watch it grow with us.

We’ll be having drawings for some special giveaways from the market! Everyone who visits during our first week will have an opportunity to enter.

✨ COMING SOON TO DOWNTOWN LAWRENCEBURG — 198 MARKET! ✨

We’ve been working behind the scenes getting everything ready, and we’re excited to finally start spreading the word! We are shooting for our OPENING DAY sometime next week!

198 Market will feature around 30 different vendors from Anderson County and surrounding communities, all together under one roof. Every room is a little different, and there is truly such a fun assortment of things to browse!

You’ll find:

• Handcrafted and locally made merchandise
• Handcrafted quilted and sewn goods, including beautiful totes, bags, laptop covers and more
• Hand-knitted items
• Embroidered items
• Handcrafted leather purses and accessories
• Original paintings and artwork

One of the things I love most about 198 Market is that it’s not just one type of shop. There is such a unique mix of handmade goods, boutique merchandise, vintage pieces, clothing, art, gifts and home décor — and so much of it comes from talented people right here in our area.

You might come in looking for a gift and leave with a vintage treasure, a beautiful handmade piece, a new outfit, something for your home, or something completely unexpected!

Several of our vendors also accept custom orders, so if you see something you love but need a different size, color, style or personalized version, be sure to ask!

We’re putting the finishing touches on everything now and hope to announce our official opening day very soon!

✨ Vendor Spotlight: 2 Blocks & A Brush ✨

One of the things that makes 198 Market so special is that you’ll find pieces you simply can’t buy in a big box store—and Kristi Block of 2 Blocks & A Brush is the perfect example.

Kristi is an incredibly talented artist and furniture designer who has a gift for seeing beauty where others see ordinary. Whether she’s transforming an outdated dresser into a stunning statement piece, creating one-of-a-kind home décor, designing seasonal decorations, painting custom artwork, or arranging gorgeous florals, every piece is handcrafted with creativity and attention to detail.

Just look at some of her work! 😍

And can we talk about this Alice in Wonderland-inspired wardrobe? I am absolutely obsessed! The details are unbelievable—from the whimsical artwork to the harlequin pattern and playing card accents. It truly looks like something that belongs in a storybook.

We are getting so close to opening 198 Market, and while we already have an amazing group of vendors, I’m still looking to fill a few very specific categories!

I’m currently searching for vendors who create:

🤎 Pottery and handmade ceramics
🕯️ Hand-poured candles—I would honestly love to have one or two different candle vendors
🎨 Original paintings, portraits, prints, or other visual artwork
🏡 Artwork featuring local landmarks, Kentucky scenery, historic buildings, or other recognizable regional scenes
🏇 Kentucky-inspired gifts and décor, including Derby-themed items, bourbon-inspired gifts, Bluegrass State merchandise, hometown pride pieces, and other locally themed products
🎁 Unique handmade gifts that someone could easily stop in and pick up for a birthday, housewarming, hostess gift, or just because

I would especially love to find a painter or visual artist whose work would give customers something truly special and original to choose from.

Vendor Spotlight: Cozy Klein Knits ✨

Today I am so excited to introduce you to one of the incredibly talented vendors who will be joining us at 198 Market — Ann Klein of Lawrenceburg!

Ann is the talented maker behind Cozy Klein Knits, and honestly, her work speaks for itself. Every piece is absolutely beautiful, detailed, and so thoughtfully made.

From gorgeous knitted clothing and accessories to sweet baby pieces and truly unique handmade items, Ann’s talent is just incredible. I am personally completely in love with that beautiful lilac baby dress. 💜

I am so thankful to have Ann and her beautiful work as part of 198 Market, and I cannot wait for you all to see these pieces in person.

Welcome to 198 Market. 🤍

I am so excited to finally start sharing more about what is coming to 198 E. Court Street in Lawrenceburg!

Our plan is to open the first week of September, and I truly believe 198 Market is going to be a really unique shopping experience.

The market is not one large, open space filled with rows of booths. Instead, the upstairs is made up of individual rooms, which gives the entire market a completely different feel. Some vendors will have their own room filled with a beautiful collection of their products, while other rooms will feature a curated mixture of items from several talented makers and small businesses.

You can expect to find ladies’ apparel and accessories, boutique-style gifts, home décor, furniture, beautiful handmade leather goods, knitted items, body products, children’s boutique clothing, unique finds and so much more.

I have already been absolutely blown away by the talent of the vendors who will be joining us. From exquisite handmade leather purses to beautiful knitted heirloom pieces, I truly cannot wait for you all to see what they have created.

And we are still growing! I would especially love to connect with a talented pottery or ceramic artist, as well as someone who creates beautiful handmade candles, and may be interested in displaying their work at 198 Market.

Something else I am incredibly excited about—Ashley B’s dine-in option is also planned to open that same week! So come have lunch with us and then head upstairs to shop… or shop first and reward yourself with lunch afterward. 😂🤍
