“Looking back on my journey, I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and excited for where the profession is headed!

When I was in the Air Force, I received regular eye exams before being deployed to Afghanistan and neighboring areas. As I was leaving the military and thinking about careers in healthcare, I remembered how much I admired and respected my optometrist, and decided I wanted to be one too. I’ve loved optometry ever since. With experience and support from the tools and technology working in the National Vision Doctor of Optometry network, I am able to deliver high-quality care in an efficient manner, while building meaningful patient connections. I love chatting with my patients about weddings, vacations, struggles, and everything that makes us human.
