Fresh makeover for this dresser. A basic piece by , a name known for quality, and omgoodness this thing has so much storage! The big drawers are over 10 inches deep!
I have been on a mission to use up paint that I have on hand. As you can imagine, I end up with a lot! This is in . It's a beautiful, creamy, off white...the perfect background for the hand painted, porcelain k***s. Each k**b is a little different pattern of off white, blue and gold. They give this dresser a real Mediterranean feel.
I did a faux wood grain on the base and then lined the drawers in a putty colored paper to mimic the patterns in the k***s. A classic, neutral makeover with a bit of fun with the k***s.

I'll never get over the improvement a freshly done door makes to the overall look of your home. If you think about it, it's the first thing people see as they walk up to your house.
This one was faded but not in bad shape. I used gel stain in hickory and sealed it with spar-thane. It's so important to use the proper products on an exterior (or any!) job. After attempted with other brands, I've found I get the best finish with these.

Omgoodness....how sweet are these pieces? My client's great, great grandpa made them and they were recently found in storage. She has a baby girl coming later this year so these were updated for the baby's room.
I had been wanting to try this color for a while and these were the perfect pieces. This is in Damask. It's a beautiful shade of pink with beige undertones. Gorgeous!
These will be such a sweet addition to her space. 💗

OK...what do we think? I had to get creative because these pulls were cemented to the drawer and I couldn't get them off without ruining them and just LOOK at how cool they are! Bouquets! I wasn't able to get in there to sand it all the way down so the stripes are masking what was left of the old finish. I think it brings a fun flare to this antique piece.
This piece has a LOT of character! I mean just look at that tiger wood grain on the sides. 😍 It is primitive construction so there are quirks but all the drawers work and fully open and close.
This wood be such a pretty piece for an entry way, or as a vanity. Or....just as a dresser. All the wood is natural, legs and stripes are Coal Black.

PSA - PLEASE use coasters. It doesn't matter what the finish is, it will eventually show wear. Second, please address issues the second they appear. If your finish is fading, let's get it fixed before it becomes more than cosmetic.
These side tables came to me with the vision of bringing them back to their original state. Unfortunately, there was significant damage from moisture...staining and marks. These are maple and maple is not forgiving. It is a very hard wood, which is great for longevity, not for removing marks.
The original plan was to restain. Fortunately their owner was perfectly happy to paint. They got a new look in in Midnight Blue. To preserve some of the original feel, I restained the drawers to match what they previously were. in Gunstock was just about a perfect match.
I think this combo was a beautiful update for these classic tables.

Simple updates for bright results! This is a great example of repurposing what you have to fit your current needs. My client moved into a new home with an open kitchen and wanted to brighten up the barstools to fit with the new space. Going from black to white involves a LOT of coats....even with primer. This in Victorian Lace, a crisp, bright white. It pairs perfectly with the rattan seats.

The stool was in need of some minor repairs and once I addressed those, the seat was reupholstered in a pale pink velvet. Just a small change, but it completely changes the whole feel.

I was obsessed with this piece the second I laid eyes on it. I mean...just look at that base!!! 😍
This vintage dresser is the perfect example of a classic beauty. It was definitely starting to show signs of its age, which I think is about 70 years old. Lucky for me it was all cosmetic!
I really wanted to keep with a vintage feel since all the original hardware was still in tact. What is more classic than black? Timeless! I gave a bit of a modern update with the paint washed top half and base. The paints are by in Coal Black and Algonquin. Take a peek at that lotus print paper...Gorgeous!

In my regular fashion, I forgot to take a group photo before everyone left, but today was our first furniture refinishing class! We covered a lot of basics and got some hands on experience in a lot of what I was teaching.

I LOVE when I can grab a vintage piece and all the hardware is in tact. The shape of these fit perfectly with the piece in working on, but they weren't in great shape cosmetically. I was hoping a good scrub would be enough but it just made it worse. That's the case sometimes.
I wanted to keep with the vintage vibe so I went in with in Spanish Copper. It gives a stunning antiqued bronze finish that is just perfect for the overall design. The pictures just do not do justice.
