This vintage Don Quixote figure, marked "HECHO EN MEXICO," has been carefully documented as part of the Finicky Bee Archive.

Every collectible preserves evidence through its physical characteristics, craftsmanship, construction, markings, condition, and the research that can responsibly be supported. This figure is no exception.

During the documentation process, we examined its molded construction, recorded its measurements, documented the red "HECHO EN MEXICO" country-of-origin mark, assessed its condition, and completed research based on the available evidence. While the country of manufacture can be confirmed, the maker and workshop remain unknown. Rather than filling those gaps with assumptions, they remain honestly documented as unknown.

This documentary is part of our ongoing mission to discover, document, preserve, and share collectible personal property so that the documented knowledge preserved with these objects remains available for future collectors, researchers, and caretakers.

Each documentary is created through careful observation and responsible research, preserving the collectible's documented record—including its physical characteristics, craftsmanship, construction, markings, condition, and research findings. When information cannot be verified, it is honestly documented as unknown rather than presented as fact.

I have deep respect for the artists, makers, manufacturers, craftspeople, collectors, and caretakers whose creativity, skill, and dedication allowed these remarkable collectibles to survive through time.
