Honoring 250 Years of American Independence
As America commemorates the 250th anniversary of its independence, the uniforms honoring the generation of 1776 are once again being produced in Georgia.

Every stitch connects today’s Soldiers with those who stood at the beginning of the American story.

Marlow White is honored to manufacture the Colonial uniforms worn by Soldiers of the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard). These iconic uniforms serve as a visible reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and determination that gave birth to our Nation.

From Bowdon, Georgia, one of the original thirteen colonies, the men and women who craft these uniforms continue a tradition that stretches back to America’s founding.

As we reflect on 250 years of independence, we remain grateful for those who secured it, those who defend it today, and the families who stand beside them.

The Hands That Sew History
Nearly 250 years ago, tailors and seamstresses throughout the colonies crafted uniforms for a young nation.

Today, in Bowdon, Georgia, one of the original thirteen colonies, the men and women of Marlow White are once again cutting, sewing, and assembling uniforms that help tell America’s story.

The same facility that produces Marlow White’s AGSU, ASU, and Mess Dress uniforms also produces the Colonial uniforms worn by The Old Guard.

By combining modern military tailoring with designs rooted in America’s earliest military traditions, our team carries forward a craft that has supported American Soldiers for generations.

The uniforms honoring the generation of 1776 are once again being made by American hands.

The Legacy of Our Nation

As America approaches its 250th Anniversary, the men and women who make Marlow White uniforms in Bowdon, Georgia, are once again producing the iconic Colonial uniforms worn by Soldiers of the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) for ceremonies and celebrations in our Nation’s capital.

The red Colonial Fife and Drum Corps uniforms reflect the musicians who accompanied America’s first Soldiers through the struggle for independence.

The Colonial Blue uniforms worn by the Commander’s Color Guard trace their heritage to the Continental Army, which adopted blue as America’s military color during the Revolutionary War.

Together, these uniforms have become enduring symbols of our Nation’s founding.
These are not costume replicas of history. They are military uniforms worn by Soldiers actively serving our Nation today.
