As an American-based brand, LC recognizes the importance of honoring the diverse community we are a part of. In observance of Juneteenth, we honor and cherish the many Black creatives, designers, models, and fashion lovers who contribute so much beauty, artistry, and kawaii to the community we love.
We proudly support the Black alternative fashion community, including the Black artists and vendors whose work is essential to our collective creativity and expression.
For those who may be unfamiliar:
Juneteenth, observed on June 19th, commemorates the emancipation of enslaved Black Americans in the United States. Though the Emancipation Proclamation was issued in 1863, freedom did not reach all until June 19th, 1865, when the last enslaved people in Galveston, Texas were finally informed of their freedom. Today, Juneteenth is a day of remembrance, reflection, and celebration of Black liberation, resilience, and joy.
At LC, we believe in uplifting marginalized voices, supporting inclusive spaces, and building a future where creativity and community flourish for everyone.
To our Black community members: thank you for being here, for sharing your style, and for shaping this space with your brilliance.
🖤 With care,
The LC Shop Team
