At the age of 10, my meme introduced me to knitting and crochet. I immediately fell in love with the process, watching a simple ball of yarn transform into various

shapes with just a hook or needles. Now, years later, my passion for these crafts has only grown stronger. Each time I sit down to knit or crochet, it feels like a therapeutic escape from the chaotic pace of daily life. As one enjoys creating, seeing others appreciate my work is an added bonus. In 2023, I launched my Hugs for Heads business as a tribute to my dear friend Denise who passed away after battling cancer for years. During her hair loss journey, she struggled to find headwear that made her feel confident and beautiful. That's when I made her a hat that became known as "My Denise". Her smile said it all - she felt pretty again. My goal with this collection is to bring comfort and joy to anyone facing illness or simply looking for something special to wear. A portion of all proceeds will go to the Cancer Support Fund of Central Mass in loving memory of Denise Downes♡ & Virginia Tocci♡

Light blue denim, ultra-relaxed wide leg, and a trail of hand-crocheted flowers blooming down each leg. Every single petal stitched one at a time, in the studio, by me.

This granny square tote is my summer love letter. Each square is hooked one at a time, then stitched together into a crossbody that holds your sunscreen, your peaches, your paperback, and a little room for whatever the day decides.

I'm watching these travel from my studio out to the coast this season. You'll spot them on shelves in Hyannis and Plymouth, right where the salt air and ice cream cones live. 🌿

Many of you know that Hugs for Heads was born out of love and loss. I started this journey to honor my dear friend, Denise Fuller Downes, by crocheting a special hat to help her feel beautiful during her brave, but ultimately tragic, battle with cancer. Since then, I have dedicated a large part of my life and this brand to supporting cancer warriors, their families, and the victims we’ve lost.

But there is another element of Hugs for Heads—another deeply personal chapter of my life—that I have kept quiet about until now.

Meet The Scrapwork Summer Crop. I hooked this one in the studio using cream crochet and leftover yarns from past favorites, finished with a colorful fringe that swishes when you walk.

It's cool enough for the warmest days, but textured enough to make a plain pair of jeans suddenly feel like a whole outfit. The kind of piece you grab for coffee runs, porch nights with friends, and everything in between.

"From the beach right to dinner. I got a lot of compliments." 🍑

That little note made my whole week. Because honestly, that's exactly the kind of life this peach granny square sweater was made for. Salty hair, sandy feet, and a sunset table somewhere with good people.

Each tiny floral square was hand-stitched in the studio, one at a time, until the whole thing came together in soft, sun-warmed color. Hours of slow, quiet work, all for a piece that feels like summer wrapped around your shoulders.
